Of the many Christian education programs that have been developed over the last 50 years, few have been as popular as Awana.
Awana began in 1950 as a youth program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago, Ilinois. Today Awana has registered more than 9,000 US churches and in all 50 states. The Awana program can also be found in more than 2700 faith communities in more than 110 other countries.
For older kids:
Awana offers clubs for teens, such as "JR. Varsity" for Jr. High ages and "Varsity" for High Schoolers.
